Nico Froehlich began his personal portrait project end of 2020. The council estate in SE London has been known for its infamous reputation and has been Europe’s largest post-war estate in the 90ies.
First the estate looked like any other case of a neglected and underinvested social housing complex, but its bleak brutalist exterior revealed a joyous space for youngsters to interact, play and grow.
